Educational Programs in the Park

Every Friday during the months of June, July and August, Reid State Park offers a series of educational programs. These programs vary in topic and theme and have become very popular! Last year the Friends of Reid State Park was able to sponsor a program on The Jellyfish of Maine which was both educational and fun. This year the FRSP will be sponsoring one program each month.

Our June program is a Geology Walk on June 19th at 10am. Join Bowdoin professors Emily Peterman and Sarah Brisson for this hands-on program that will explore the geology of the headlands and the evolution of the beaches at Reid – now and in the future. This program is open to all ages but will be geared to a more adult audience.
